Tailgate Challenge - MVT Setup

What's Included

  • (1) 22" Tailgate horizontal support pipe with internal coupling
  • (1) 22.5" Tailgate horizontal support pipe
  • (3) 36" Vertical support pipes
  • (1) 4" Tailgate center support horizontal connection pipe
  • (1) 32" bumper (center) horizontal support pipe
  • (2) 13.5" bumper (outer) horizontal support pipes
  • (2) 1" diameter by 9" optional Pole mount pipes

MVT Assembly Instructions

Note: These steps are a basic guide. As you become familiar with the system, you may find your own preferred assembly sequence.

Step 1: Preparation

Unpack all components and lay them out on a flat surface.

Step 2: Assemble the Main Horizontal Support

Slide the 4" center connection pipe over the 22.5" horizontal support pipe. Connect the 22" support pipe to the 22.5" pipe, aligning the internal coupling with the pre-drilled hole until it clicks into place.  Slide the 4" center connection pipe directly over the joint you just created. Place this assembled section on top of your tailgate.

Step 3: Rotate Inner Supports

Press the buttons at each end of the horizontal support pipe and rotate the inner truck bed supports 90 degrees downward until they click into the vertical position.

Step 4: Attach Bumper Horizontal Supports

  • Slide the two 13.5" horizontal pipes into the 36" outer vertical pipes until they click.

  • Slide the 32" pipe into the 36" center vertical pipe until it clicks.

Step 5: Attach Vertical Supports

Slide the 36" outer vertical pipes up through the outer slip fittings. Allow them to drop into the gap between the tailgate and bumper. Repeat for the 36" center pipe, lifting the 4" connection pipe slightly to slide the support through its fitting until it rests on the bumper.

Step 6: Final Safety Check Ensure all connections are locked and the unit is stable. The MVT should now rest securely against the tailgate.

Step 7: Choose Your Mounting Method

The MVT offers two mounting configurations based on your needs:

  • Option A: Direct Mount (Best for Stability/Breezy Weather) Attach your TV's pole mount directly to the 36" vertical support pipe (above or below the slip tee). This is the most secure method for windy conditions.

  • Option B: Drop-in Mount (Best for Speed/Calm Weather) Attach your pole mount to the included 1" x 9" adapter pipe, then slide this smaller pipe into the top of the 36" vertical pipe. This allows for much faster assembly and teardown.

Step 8: Enjoy Your setup is complete. Enjoy your tailgating event!

Cleaning Guide

Use non-abrasive cleaners like mild soap and water or Soft Scrub to avoid scratching the pipe and fittings. To remove existing scratches or marks, apply toothpaste or a baking soda paste to the surface and gently buff in a circular motion with your finger.
